JIAJING WANG

About Artist:

Jiajing Wang, b.2000 in Italy, Chinese

Jiajing is a London-based artist whose practice explores relationships between humans, other living beings, and the environments they inhabit. Her work reflects on how systems of knowledge, cultural traditions, and everyday practices shape the ways humans understand and position themselves within the natural world.
Material plays a central role in her process. Working with natural substances such as clay, sand, cotton, and mineral pigments, she often constructs her own painting surfaces, allowing the material presence of the work to remain closely connected to the ecological relationships it considers.
