JIAJING WANG

About Artist:

Jiajing Wang, b.2000 in Italy, Chinese

My practice investigates the relationships between humans and the natural world, seeking a non-binary perspective that challenges anthropocentric thinking. I work closely with natural materials such as clay, mineral pigments, and plant fibers, attending to their inherent agency and their resonance with the environment. Through my work, I hope to evoke a sense of “similarity” and encourage a humble reexamination of the boundaries between human and non-human, as well as between individuals, seeking possibilities of coexistence through embodied understanding and shared sensibility.
